Fireboy DML was born on February 5, 1996, in Ogun State in Nigeria and his birth given name is Adedamola Adefolahan. He was a chorister in his neighborhood church in Abeokuta where he grew up. His passion for music started when he was studying at Obafemi Awolowo University. He released a single titled”Jealous” which brought him into the limelight after he signed into YBNL Country, a record label based on Nigerian rapper Olamide.
