Brian Chesky was born on 29 August 1981 in Niskayuna, New York, U.S. His parents were the social professionals Robert H. Chesky and Deborah Chesky. His dad’s Polish background, his mother’s Italian ancestry. He’s got a younger sister, Allison, too.
In 1999, Chesky began to study at the Rhode Island Design School. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design in 2004. During his stay at RIS, Chesky met with Joe Gebbia, who subsequently became his roommate and co-founder of his Airbnb firm.
Chesky dates the artist Elissa Patel. They met on Tinder for the first time and have been dating ever since.

Brian Chesky Career
He relocated to San Francisco and began sharing with his friend Gebbia a flat. The complete idea of Airbnb came to Chesky in the year 2007. When the Industrial Designers Society of America hosted its conference in San Francisco, he shared his flat with Gebbia. All hotel rooms were reserved during this meeting.
Nathan Blecharczyk, Harvard’s graduate and technical architect, joined Airbnb as the third co-founder in February 2008. Each co-founder assumed distinct duties and Chesky became the leader and CEO. To seek cash for their firm, Chesky and its co-founders created an original concept and produced special edition cereals dubbed ‘Obama O’s’ and ‘Cap’n McCains.’
Soon numerous offices throughout Europe were opened by the firm. In 2011, Chesky launched a 24-hour hotline service to handle tenants’ concerns and increased help to employees for theft or vandalism. More than 120,000 guests were housed in Airbnb homes during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
By March 2015, Airbnb had a valuation of $20 billion. Airbnb became an official sponsor of the 2016 Rio de Janerio Summer Olympics in Brazil in 2015.
In 2015, Chesky was named America’s Richest Entrepreneurs Under 40 on Forbes list. It was also recognized in the ‘100 Most Influent People for 2015’ in TIME. In May 2015, then President of the United States Barack Obama appointed him Global Entrepreneurship Ambassador.
In 2016 he joined ‘The Giving Pledge’ by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates where a group of billionaires promised to give away the bulk of their fortune. He was also included in 2016 on the list of Youngest Forbes 400.
